Fast Fact:  Construction union membership down:

Union bosses took home generous pay and perks, paid for with the dues of their members, despite continually declining membership in the construction trade unions. 

According to www.unionstats.com, membership in the building trades union in Massachusetts comprises a mere 16.5 percent of the entire construction industry in Massachusetts in 2012.

Taken together, the total salaries for employees of the above listed unions is close to $33 million, according to the most recent reports filed with the federal government.

Many of these unions bosses take home well above $100,000 and receive generous perks as well.  They are the typical "1 Percenters."  They are taking home lavish salaries and perks, all while their members continue to suffer during the depressed economy.
